VRWOOD Studio is a passionate team of developers dedicated to creating immersive and engaging XR experiences that enhance lives and connect people. Founded in 2015, we were captivated by the transformative power of XR and its ability to create truly immersive worlds. Our journey began with a focus on multiplayer casual games, and in 2016, we launched Companion Planet, a heartwarming and critically acclaimed title that garnered a remarkable 9.4 rating on TapTap.

We were deeply moved by the story of a player who, on the brink of despair, found solace and hope within the world of Companion Planet. This experience solidified our belief in the power of XR to create positive impact and inspire joy. We strive to craft games that are "more than just games," experiences that foster connection, encourage creativity, and offer moments of genuine happiness and escape. We believe that XR has the potential to uplift and inspire, and we are dedicated to creating experiences that reflect that belief.

As the team keeps focusing on XR, the industry faced challenges in late 2017, but VRwood Studio persevered. We continued developing our own games while also providing expert XR outsourcing services to leading companies like HTC, Xiaomi, and Lenovo. This experience broadened our expertise and allowed us to contribute to the growth of the XR ecosystem.

Since 2021, inspired by Animal Crossing: New Horizons (several of our team members spent over 400 hours playing!), we've dedicated our energy to a single, ambitious project: Little Planet. This enchanting world is designed to bring players a sense of playful wonder, magical escapism, and heartwarming connection.

Our team of 18 talented individuals brings a wealth of experience from top game studios and leading computer science programs. Frank Huang, our founder and producer, is a seasoned leader with a background in global product planning at Dell, digital strategy at Accenture, and executive roles at leading internet companies. He holds an MBA and has shared his passion for XR at TEDx.
